About Oceanstorm Films VFX

Oceanstorm is an independent visual-effects facility founded in 2018 by Nicholas David Lean, and supervised by Gianluca Dentici,  Paul Babu and Louis Katz, to provide creative service solutions for feature film and television productions.

Established in the heart of London, and with facilities now in Hampshire, Los Angeles, Thailand, and Bangalore (India) the studio is founded on a culture of originality, innovation and collaboration. Exceptionally experienced supervisors, producers and artists share in a diversity of experience and exude a true passion for film-making and storytelling to produce imaginative solutions, quick turnarounds and stunning results.

The studio’s regular clients include some top filmmakers, and corporations, who return to Oceanstorm time and again as a trusted technical partner and creative ally. The team works closely with clients throughout every phase of the creative process, from VFX design and previs to CG animation, digital makeup effects, clean-up, match-moving, rotoscoping, compositing and matte painting.

Oceanstorm is proud to have had its team involved in many prestigious projects, including Gravity, Blade Runner, Wonder Woman, 300, Avengers-Infinity War, Deadpool, Aquaman, Black Panther and lots more besides,

Landmark television projects have included Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead, Vikings, and multi-Emmy Award-winning The Marvellous Mrs Maisel.

A significant establishing highlight on the Oceanstorm roster saw the company chosen to deliver high-level effect renditions for India's largest company, and only conglomerate, TATA Inc., as well as a newly assigned commercial activity for the innovative Oculus Echo VR.

As part of "Apex VFX", our internal training system for young, new artistic talent, the team are passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in the VFX industry with structured learning, and both maintain and promote membership of several organisations that advise and represent our industry.
